Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain the excess fat thoroughly.
Transfer the browned beef into a 6-quart slow cooker.
Add the diced onion, minced garlic, chopped bell pepper, kidney beans, black beans, and pinto beans to the pot.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, chili powder, and cumin until well combined.
Cover and cook on low heat for 7-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours.
